Anyone else have cats that loved this?

I just discovered that Bumblebee has stopped production on the Figaro tuna
cat food. Two of my six cats won't touch any other canned food but this.

Now a new search starts for a tuna they will like just as much.

I bought some canned tuna at Safeway last year that was on sale for 40 cents
a can. This was human tuna, not cat food. Since Safeway charged 55 cents a
can for the cat food, I thought this stuff was a bargain.....Not so. When I
got it home and opened the can, it looked horrible, and the cats wouldn't
touch it! Their cat tuna was more appetizing...... Safeway is easily the
worst supermarket in the USA. I believe it has taken first place for the
worst for several years in a row now. (from some independent assayer of
supers) .....But for some reason, whenever I move to a new house, I am
always very near a Safeway, and three miles or more from any other
Super.....Just my luck, I guess......

My cats love this stuff. Comes in several different varieties, some with
chunks of cheese. Looks pretty edible to me. If this economy gets any
worse I might be right next to my cats eating this stuff.
My cats go nuts for it and will eat it until they get sick if I let them.
About the only cat food that I've seen that looked more edible was a
brand call "Unique". Man this stuff looked tasty. Sardines and shrimp in
and aspic sauce. Can't believe I was able to resist tasting that stuff.
They don't sell it, at least in our area, anymore. The cats sure did
love it though.
Let us know what you find please.

My other cats like the 9 Lives Tuna and Cheese, but I have to drive to a
larger town 1-1/2 hours away to buy it at Petsmart. The Unique cat food,
my cats loved that. As far as I'm aware, at least in the midwest, that
hasn't been around since the 1990's. The Bumblebee brand Figaro tuna cat
food was actual real chunks of tuna like what we buy, but more red like the
9 Lives is. To the person who bought the people food tuna, it's not good
to give your cats, at least not more than a treat (if they will eat it).
Cats need the additives like Taurine that is in cat food, and our food
doesn't have that.

All 5 of my cats eat kibbles frequently. (It is available to them all the
time) But most of them like people food occasionally, and chicken and fish
are their favorites......Having them turn up their noses at a can of tuna is
an unusual experience to say the least....But after trying it myself, I
could see why....It was awful!

Its sad when it takes forever to find a great food for our beloved animals
then it goes away. I have found a Holistic Seafood that you may find
interesting, in fact I added it to our pet supplies website. View it and
see if its something you wish to try, we did and our animals love it.

As a grade school kid, in Hawaii, we were taken to view the fish cannery. The filleted fish came along a conveyer belt. Gloved hands pulled dark meat into the Figaroa cans, light meat went into Bumblebee cans. I do believe the whole building fell apart a few years ago. However, some company must still be canning 'Chicken of the Sea'. Where's the dark meat??

We used to feed this to our cats in the 70's. It smelled beyond vulgar, but our cats WORSHIPPED it! I was just surfing to see if it was still in existence, and it looks like I just missed it! :(

Well I guess this is super old but for what it's worth I just wanted to respond here that trader Joe's Tuna for Cats is sooo much like the figaro cat food my kitties grew up eating. You can see it on this page: http://catangelnetwork.blogspot.com/2018/03/stuff-i-buy-for-my-kitties-on-regular.html We had a cat that lived to be 21 and she ate Figaro tuna daily. I think they put carrots and peas or some kind of veggies in it, and the reason I saw this post is because I googled it to see what else they put in it. It's just the tuna/meat part that is like the figaro. It's cheap, too, when you get it at trader joe's. Hope your kitty found a good solution.

Odd, all my cats eat any canned food, as long as I don't give them the same flavour 3 times in a row. They just get the cheap supermarket stuff.
